MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER My client has a permanent and full time post for a Mechanical Design Engineer reporting to the Technical Director. The successful candidate will work within a small cross-functional team developing electronic pressure sensors for pneumatic and hydraulic applications using highly advanced strain gauge technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for new product design and developing the existing product portfolio. Above all, a positive and enthusiastic personality is absolutely crucial alongside the ability to be flexible, hardworking and willing to learn new skills. Overseas customer and supplier visits may occasionally be required but are not the norm. The position requires a driving license and valid passport to all countries Skills: Proven experience in SolidWorks and other design/drafting software Drawing office skills (change control / document control / product approval) Proven experience in high-volume product design and associated process tooling Project management from end-customer through productionisation to deliver highly robust, low-cost and quality driven solutions in tight time-frames. Good communication skills liaising with sales teams, customers and suppliers 6-sigma design techniques Creativity Experience in plastic mould-flow is advantageous Qualifications: A minimum Upper 2nd Class degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
